US President Donald Trump urged China today to maintain “a strong and iron border” with North Korea until the commitment with Pyongyang to conclude its nuclear program is finalized.
On his official Twitter account Donald Trump said the following about China
China must continue to be strong & tight on the Border of North Korea until a deal is made. The word is that recently the Border has become much more porous and more has been filtering in. I want this to happen, and North Korea to be VERY successful, but only after signing!

Trump’s words come two weeks befire his scheduled meeting with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore on June 12
On May 9, Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, met in Pyongyang with Kim and achieved the release of three US citizens held in North Korea since 2015, a gesture considered goodwill in the process of rapprochement between both countries .
Although the White House has ensured that preparations for the meeting continue, last week North Korea suggested a possible cancellation of the meeting if the US demands a “unilateral” denuclearization.
