Donald Trump squeezes the bite. The president of the United States has threatened to apply a tariff of 20% to the imports of cars that arrive from the European side of the Atlantic if the EU does not reduce “soon” theirs to the vehicles coming from the USA.
Currently, the tax paid for EU cars entering the US is 2.5%, however US cars that enter the EU pay a 10%.
Trump launched his latest threat in the form of an ultimatum through a message on Twitter, in a new escalation of the confrontation between the two – historically – allies.
Based on the Tariffs and Trade Barriers long placed on the U.S. and it great companies and workers by the European Union, if these Tariffs and Barriers are not soon broken down and removed, we will be placing a 20% Tariff on all of their cars coming into the U.S. Build them here!
