Trump blocks the entry to the US to citizens from six countries through a decree

The Supreme Court of the United States validated on Tuesday the decree of President Donald Trump that places obstacles to the entry of citizens of six countries and specific officials of Venezuela, in a clear victory of the White House.

By five votes to four, the court considered valid the latest version of the decree, which affects the entry of citizens of five countries mostly Muslim (Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen), as well as North Korea, and also some specific officials of Venezuela.

The Trump government considers the decree a necessary measure in the face of concerns for national security.

In short, the language … is clear and the decree does not exceed any limit of the president’s authority, “wrote Judge John Roberts.
